Join us on an unforgettable journey to witness the 2,000+ year-old larch trees on Mount Frosty in Manning Park as they turn a brilliant gold! This natural spectacle is truly a sight to behold and a perfect opportunity for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.
Starting Point: We'll begin our adventure at Lightening Lakes, where we'll take a scenic route around the lake before veering off towards the enchanting larches.
Hike Details:
Distance: We'll be focusing on reaching the Larch Meadow/Lower Larch, which is about 9 km in (18 km round trip)
Terrain: While the hike is physically challenging due to the elevation gain and distance, it is not technically difficult. Rest assured, this is a hike, not a scramble.
This adventure is not for new hikers. You should feel comfortable hiking trails like Elk Mountain, Dragonsback or have a current/consistent workout schedule.
