Elk Mountain Group Hike

If you live in the Fraser Valley this is one of those "must do" hikes. Its a slow and steady climb up, i like to think of it as natures stair climber. This is a more difficult hike due to length being 8km (round trip) and the steady climb. Unlike a lot of trails Elk has a wide path making is easy to navigate as you make your way. Elk has an eleveation gain of 765 meters  ( for comparison Lindeman lake is 200m).

The top of Elk Mountain offers a spectacular view of Chilliwack, Cultus Lake, mountains to the south, and the surrounding Fraser Valley area. If we're lucky the wildflowers will be blooming along the trail edges, presenting an array of colours once we get to the top

This is not a begininer hike, if you have knee issues you should have poles.
